Dear Ashwin and Ravi,

We  (IIT Madras) have received an invitation to send our 'best' Quiz
team (exactly four student-quizzers) to Tokyo, Japan to participate in
the second edition of the "Brain World Cup" organized by M/s Fuji TV.
They have guaranteed to bear the travel and accommodation expenses,
and have also indicated payment of a small performance fee of Japanese
Yen 20,000 (Twenty Thousand only) for each participant.

The other Universities that have been invited are:
Harvard; Virginia; CalTech; Manchester; Oxford; Ecole Normale
Superieure; Munich; Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich;
Melbourne; NUS; Seoul National/Pohang Univ of S&T; Cape Town; Univ. of
Tokyo; Osaka;

This means there will be a total of 16 Univs participating on
invitation from 11 countries.  The details are in the attachment.

Please confirm participation asap.  I have included the contact
person, Mr. C.N. Banerjee in the cc, for your to respond immediately.
His contact details are also included in the attachment.



Mr. Banerjee,

Mr. Ashwin and Mr. Ravi are the two Cultural Affairs Secretaries of
our Students Affairs Council.  They are presently not in Chennai
because of the summer vacation and their internships.  Ashwin is
presently in Canada and Ravi is in Jaipur.  They will contact you
