Dear Rohit,
Taking forward our conversation, we would like to offer summer internships to 2 students from Electrical Engineering Department.
I have given a brief about the company as well as the summer internship program. As we do not have a selection procedure for internship, we would like to have a CGPA cutoff of 7.5. I presume this internship is for BTech and Dual Degree students. I can get the specifics of project by end of this week. In the meantime, could you please let us know about the availability of 2 students for internship at Ittiam.
About Ittiam
Ittiam is technology company focused on embedded systems for digital media applications. Our offering includes core media processing technologies to complete systems covering hardware and software. Ittiam technology and systems are quietly powering multiple end products that people marvel at. From latest in-flight entertainment systems in Airbus 380s, media rich mobile phones to mission critical applications for defense and government systems.
Not surprising, Ittiam has been chosen to be the "Worlds most preferred DSP IP supplier" by Forward Concepts for 5 years in a row - 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. We have also been awarded "IT Innovation Award" by NASSCOM in 2007, Red Herring’s Asia Top 100 in 2005 and Red Herring Worldwide Top Tech Finalist in 2007.
Ittiam has filed 45 patents till date of which 28 have already been granted by the United States Patents and Trademarks Office.
About Summer Internship Program @ Ittiam
The summer internship at Ittiam provides an opportunity to work on real-time DSP and embedded systems projects. We would prefer the student intern to be proficient in C programming skills. It would be an added advantage if the student has undergone a DSP or Embedded Systems course. At the end of the project the student would have enriched experience of having closely worked with the technical team; as well as, got an understanding of systems and processes followed in a work place.
During the internship, the student would get an honorary stipend of Rs. 7500 per month. In addition, their travel expense would be reimbursed and lunch on working days is taken care at the office.
