Good afternoon and greetings from Chennai Bridge Association!
We are proud to announce the conduct of "Viswanathan Memorial CBA Swiss pairs" on 17th OCT-2015 and 18th OCT-2015 during CBA AGM Week.
The event will start at 1.45 PM on 17th OCT-2015 and will be played 4/5 rounds till 7.30 PM. On 18th OCT 2015 another 5 to 6 rounds will be played depends upon no. of entries received and time availability. The Venue is The TNCA Club, Chepauk, Chennai. No. of boards will be 8 per round.
TRIO is allowed.
Snacks will be provided on 17th OCt- 2015 in the evening. Lunch and snacks will be provided in the afternoon and in the evening respectively on 18th OCT 2015 at the venue.
Three prizes will be up for take for entries < 30 pairs. For entries more than 30 pairs fourth prize will be awarded subject to maximum total prize money of Rs.36,000/- for the benefit of members.
The entry fee will be Rs.400/- per pair. For trio it is Rs.600/- for three members.
As a special case new entrants will be allowed on 18th OCT- 2015 to join the event. This is just to facilitate people who would be unable to make it on Saturday 17th OCT- 2015 afternoon due to prior commitment but would like to attend the event on Sunday 18th OCT- 2015 along with AGM. They will join the event at the least total score of the previous day in the morning first round and start competing with others. The entry fee will remain the same as above. No new entries will be accepted after the completion of first round on the Sunday morning.
The tentative Prize money as follows.
First Prize- Rs.12,000/-
Second Prize-Rs.10,000/-
Third prize: Rs.8,000/-
If more than 30 entries received a Fourth prize of Rs.6000/- will be awarded.
Tournament conditions will be decided jointly by the Director and organizers and it will be final. This is an open event and NON-CBA members are also allowed to participate.
