Here are a few details, do's and dont's
Rough itinerary
1) Board the private bus that has been booked at Taramani bus stand and head for Nagala.
2) Reach Nagalapuram hill base by 8.30 a.m (Breakfast will be done on the way at a suitable hotel in Uttukottai).
3) Start Trekking.
4)
We will be covering 3 pools. The first two pools have shallow as well
as deeper parts and can be enjoyed by everyone in the group.
The third pool is for swimmers only, non swimmers get a gallery seat to watch the ongoing fun at pool 3.
We will most likely be having lunch at the third pool and start the return trek soon after lunch.
We will reach back the hill base before 5.30 and head back to insti.
Have dinner at Basera/tiff/....
You need not carry any food of your own. It will be taken care by the organisers
DO's
1) Carry a plastic cover to take all other plastic covers, choclate/biscuit wrappers, etc that you will be disposing
2) A cover to keep your wet clothes and protect electronic equipment in case of unexpected rains
3) Minimise the weight of your back pack.
4) Carry 2 litres of water (to be on a safer side)
5) If you are wearing shoes, do carry extra pair of socks. You will need dry socks after the trek to avoid blisters.
6) Carry one set of dry clothes (other than the one you are wearing)
Dont's
1) Do not litter
2) Do not carry unnecessary weight.
3)
Do not wear new shoes. Used shoes are better as they are more flexible.
( Even sandals with straps are good enough for experienced people). At
the same time, worn out shoes aren't good either as they hardly provide
any grip.
