help -phonetic hindi typing in ubuntu

Dear all

i am a new comer in ubuntu family.i have just installed 11.04 on my system. i am struggling to install a phonetic Hindi typing tool in Ubuntu  11.04 but unable to do so.

I have installes I bus option, its short icon is visible on desktop but when i log on
preference >input method >select input method  


it only showe chinese language to be selected in this option.

i am loging on Language support, and when i select HIINDI, its writing and spell check option is not enable.

so when i install hindi, it shows all the menu and items in hindi but in I bus option, which is on desktop, please guide how could i install a phonetic hindi typing tool like google hindi translitration on ubuntu,

sudo apt-get install ibus-m17n

Install Soni Hindi Phonetic
