FTP Client Help...

I am using FileZilla FTP Client from my hostel...
and its showing following error..
Status:    Connecting to 118.67.248.213:21...
Status:    Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".
Error:    Could not connect to server

I thought problem is because of proxy, so i entered my proxy data in FTP Proxy tab of Settings of Filezilla, with port 21 & 80, both tried and proxy as http://www.cc.iitd.ernet.in/cgi-bin/proxy.btech..
But now i get following error..
Status:    Using proxy 80
Status:    Resolving address of 80
Status:    Connection attempt failed with "EAI_NODATA - No address associated with nodename".
Error:    Could not connect to server


What should i do??

hey,

You can use www.net2ftp.com as an alternative of filezilla . net2ftp is an online ftp client which overcome the problem of proxy server.

although i already know about this online clients, but i am not much
comfortable with them..
just that i wanted to know, if this can be solved, it wud be much
better, anyways, thnx.. :)

I do a lot of work on FTP. This problem basically occurs in hostels. If you want to work with FTP, you can use IITD Campus Wifi, there it works fine.

Bonus : FTP on Campus WIFI is proxy free and works perfect (1.6 Mbps :-D )
