Installation of Samsung SCX-3201G Printer/Scanner

Machine Details: Debian 6 on a desktop (Intel i3)

1. Could install the printer-part as a generic printer but could not
activate the 'both-side-printing'.

2. Scanner device not detected when trying "Xsane Image Scanning
Programme" Says "no devices available"

Hi Mayur,

It's a little difficult to debug from here. There are apparently
Samsung's unified printer drivers available as well. Can you try
installing those?

There are some instructions here (claimed to be valid for all debian

You can find the drivers here (I checked they are there):
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/global
(choose Multi Function Printer > Laser MFP > SCX-3201G > Driver)
