yes, I just noticed that you are allowing html in the list. This baad.
Please make it a plain text list.

Yes, but very few post occasional contains BOLD or COLORED text which annoy all us.
Please must write text mails rather then html. disallowing html mails won't help.

why do you think it won't help?

Ok, I am writing This mail from Google provided interface, I can see some interface for bold, color and all other things.
but I am not using these features . I am just typing mails.
Let me know this you qualify as HTML mail or text mail.

comes as text - most sane mail clients have a feature where one can send
text only mails - never having used google, I do not know if it is sane,
but I have seen a lot of google weenies sending plain text mails.

I think, Google group maintain  html to text conversion, I am pretty
happy with it.
Look at this - http://groups.google.com/group/iitdlug/msg/bffa6a3cabf6d00a?dmode=source
you can see, earlier main went as html because i used bold letter in it
later main went as text.
What you mean by "should not " allow html mails ?
I am ok when somebody write html mail we can hint him not to use it,
but I cannot thinking for banning for just html/text mails. newbiew
here do not know about "subject of mail" and post mail with out
subject. putting such rules will discourage many newbies. Google is
anyways converting html into text for us.

Also AFAIK - text mail were used to save bandwidth but now we have
good bandwidth for communication. Correct me If I am wrong

ask the server to strip html from the mails - most sane mail servers
have this feature. If a user sends html mails, only blank mails appear -
they learn fast. No need to ban them.
