do anyone using the Waves MAXXAUDIO3 button on Linux? I want to make Waves maxxaudio3 button workable on Ubuntu 12.10

I followed http://askubuntu.com/questions/246684/do-i-need-any-extra-drivers-for-the-realtek-waves-maxx-audio-on-my-dell-xps-17

this driver is working but keys are malfunctioning.

Hey Alok,

I hope you have the audio driver working. I am guessing the maxxaudio3
buttion is like any other media key. I don't know what it's supposed
to do but you can try searching for "ubuntu 12.10 media keys" (getting
media keys working) on the internet. You can then map the right tool
to this key.

My 2 cents..

What do you mean by the key to work? Is the key not detected right now
or is it that the expected tool to be executed on pressing it is not
run, i.e., is it gnome (or whatever shell) not detecting keypress or
is it the case that gnome can detect it but the expected tool is not
run?

After fresh installation of Ubuntu 12.10 that key was not working. so I tried steps from http://askubuntu.com/questions/246684/do-i-need-any-extra-drivers-for-the-realtek-waves-maxx-audio-on-my-dell-xps-17

installing drivers by following that link makes that maxxaudio3 key working but its malfunctioning. expected thing is not running by pressing that key.
that key supposed to change audio environment / bass etc all we have in external speaker and woofer system. (http://www.maxx.com/content.aspx?id=739)

so gnome is detecting keypress but its not performing task that it should perform.
