I have just installed and configure a new kernel version 2.6.35.1 but during booting it gives the folowing error.
insmod: error inserting '/lib/dm-region-hash.ko': -1 File exists
mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root'

Please help me in solving this.

please check in your file system if this folder  "/dev/root" exists or Not. I am using Fedora 11 and here this folder doesnot exists.

U said"mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root' "
Thats why mounting is not possible.

follow proper instruction of compiling and installing kerenel.
