your choice of words and structure is very impressive indeed..why no attempt at rhyming though?

  I wasn't sure whether rhyme would faithfully reflect the errant flow of thoughts of the schizophrenic protagonist in the poem, so I opted for free verse.

hey that was a brilliant one...seriously made me question my prowess in writing...though i think u have been heavily influenced by the poem 'Curtain' :)

Yes, I've indeed been heavily influenced by Spalding's 'Curtain' as well as Eliot's 'The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock' and Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata - Movement One.
