Hi all,
Recently (Friday, Saturday) we had 24 hours long Hack Night Competition.
It was an awesome experience for all the participants.
The applications developed were quite awesome and enjoyable. Student's
have tried their best. We have hosted all the applications on the Github
(https://github.com/wncc). All the Applications are well documented. Do
have a look at it. Few screenshots are attached herewith.
Here are the short description of apps developed.
1. Collaborative Drawing : (by Umang Mathur, CS Sophomore)
Two people can simultaneously draw on one screen remotely using this
2. GPO Styler : (by Anil Shanbhag and Kanishk Parihar, CS Sophomores)
Its a chrome extension when installed will convert your GPO mail into
similar interface that of Gmail . .
3. MaginLock: Its a linux utility. (by Pritam Baral and Rahil Momin, Aero
and Civil Sophomores)
You can assign a one of your USB device as a key . . when removed will
lock your computer and when inserted back will unlock your computer
4. Course-Match: (by Amol Mandhane, Chemical Sophomore)
Its a software which can show your GPO mails in a nice formatted way.
You can add a course-id, and see all mails related to that course-id
into similar thing
5. Define-Unity-Lens: (by Saif Hasan, CS Junior Undergraduate)
It a ubuntu Unity Lens. Since now you can search for
application/files/music in your Unity Dash Search bar . . now using
this you can also evaluate mathematical expressions and lookup for
dictionary meanings from Ubuntu's Dash Search bar. (don't search
calculator for evaluating expression, just enter expression into
search bar)
A special mention to freshman Anurag Meena (EP Freshman) for trying his
best to participate in hack night competition. He has made a time table
creator which is hosted at http://anuragmeena.co.in/hacknyt.html.
All the source codes are opensource and hosted at https://github.com/wncc.
Results will be declared by tonight.
