Hello sir,

I hope you are doing fine.

Some of us from IIT, including me, are developing an online portal to fill some gaps in the Indian healthcare sector that we have felt from our personal experiences. We thought you would be the best person around, with whom we can discuss this idea and get some useful feedback. Let me first give a quick summary of the products we are building:

1. Get a second opinion from a specialist doctor:  via call or online

How it works:

Step 1: We take medical details of your case in a structured way. You can upload your reports/X-ray for doctor to understand your case clearly.

Step 2: We match your case to the right doctor in our panel from the specialty you mentioned.

Step 3. Doctor replies/calls you after studying your case within a specific time (6-8 hours) . He will tell you whether your first diagnosis is in the right direction and guide you through the next steps. He might challenge your first doctor's opinion if he feels something is wrong and suggest alternatives.

2. Find, compare and book medical services (This will be started in India.)
  • Book Medical Tests (blood, MRI etc) best suited to your budget, location, timings etc.
  • Buy a "Health Package" for you and your family (e.g: Old age care package, Diabetes package, annual routine check up)
  • Find and compare the hospitals based on the detailed information provided by them on their profile on the website (Doctors, Prices, Reviews etc)
Just sit back and relax - pickup/drop off services are included in the package :)

The whole idea is to spread the idea of preventive Healthcare i.e Prevention is better than cure.

Both the products appear to be useful for the people who are working away from home but we want to validate this by asking a few questions from our own Pan IIT Middle East community in the form of a short survey. We'd be grateful if you could share your thoughts with us and also post the survey link given below on the Pan IIT Middle East Facebook group and other people in your network so that we could validate this idea.(it would look very credible if it comes from you on fb group and will attract more responses)

Please reply back to me if you think something is not clear from my side.

Thanks and regards,
Harshal Jain
