Who are we?

We are Praveen & 800+ talented software testers. We are very nice
folks. Okay, if that hasn’t satisfied you, here’s a detailed profile.
To help us move forward, we are backed by some of the most awesome and
inspiring people in the Indian Startup Circuit.
The story so far..

We started off 99tests as a platform for crowdsourced testing of
software applications by passionate testers. we launched 99tests on
14th Nov 2010, for our first customer Practo.com, and the response
from the community was unbelievable, Practo was extremely happy to
have a community of testers find bugs and help them improve their
product by a large order of magnitude. Testers were delighted to have
platform where they could compete, learn and build their reputation in
the community as top testers. The last five months has led us to an
impressive set of customer base featuring some very interesting
companies like FlipKart, Practo.com, Jumadi.in, BugDeBug,
NetConference etc.
Our working style

We want to work with rockstar engineers! Who can think beyond just
features and look at the impact of each change to our large community.

The initial months are a struggle in any startup but we have grown and
found a niche in the market. We have fun & work hard. We have a life,
outside work and expect you to have one too.We take off on weekends.

We don’t have an office space, no VP of sales,etc. and completely
transparent. We are very stubborn on providing awesome customer
service. We pay well.
Type of work

We’re looking for you if
* You’re an exceptional PHP/C++/Ruby/Rails/JS/CSS/ hacker
* You can understand what we’re trying to do with our product, and
translate that into clean, modular code
* Once you know what needs to be accomplished, you can work completely
independently
* Have a “sense of design” – can tell good design from bad
* Know your way around building systems around social networks

What you’ll be working on
* Building Complex Systems
* Taking a 800+ member community to 100,000 members
* Building a reputation management system
* Building a crowdsourcing system
* Building a gamification system
* Scaling from 100,000 to 1 million page views
* Building a social web application
* Building Project Management + Bug Tracker
* Building TRAC + Bugzilla + Yammer
* Learning about Lean Startups
* Can take full responsibility in just one or two weeks
* Can start suggesting new features
* Can start improving the code base
* Create new products for the platform
* Create API’s for the core platform
* Create an auctions Market place
