Please find below the details of a Filmmaking Workshop to be held at IIT Madras from 6-10 May. Perhaps some of you/your friends /colleagues would like to participate.

Filmmaking workshop at IITM: Imaging Cinema, Emerging trends in film-making
An Event of Department of Humanities & Social Sciences
 
IITM will be organizing a Workshop “Imaging Cinema: Emerging Trends in Filmmaking” from 6-10 May.
 
The workshop aims to explore recent trends in filmmaking. It seeks to cater to the growing needs of independent media producers, most likely, young filmmakers.
 
At the end of the workshop participants will be equipped with sufficient knowledge and insight into the current trends in filmmaking. 
 
An IIT Madras Certificate of Participation will be given to those who attend.
 
Focus will be on recent trends in Direction/Storytelling, Digital filming, interactive video, Editing and Cinematography. The last date for applications is 5th April 2010.
 
Sessions will be conducted by experts in direction, cinematography and editing from India and Canada. Some of the resource people are:
 
Mr.R.Balki (director of Paa & Cheeni Kum),
Mr Santosh Sivan (Director of Ashoka & 5 time National Award Winning cinematographer of Dil se, Iruvar, Raavan),
Mr Dibakar Banerjee (National Award Winning director of Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Love Sex and Dhoka & Khosla ka Ghosla),
Mr.Alphonse Roy (Cinematographer of Aamir),
Mr.Saurabh Shukla (writer/actor),
Mr. Sreekar Prasad(7 time National Award Winning Editor),
Ms. Fowzia Fathima(Cinematographer),
Mr. Nasser (actor),
Mr. Satish Kasetti (National Award winning Telugu Film Director),
Mr. Abhishek Chaubey (director of Ishqiya) and
Mr. Michael Filimowicz (Canadian expert in digital photography & interactive video).
