Electronic Dance Music (EDM) Project Design

This is to inform you of an extremely cool project that is being floated in IIT Delhi. Its an opportunity to put your design & creativity skills to the test, especially if you are a fan of lights, music & action. We're working with Karan, an electronic dance music producer from New Delhi to come up with a design for an attractive EDM (Electronic Dance Music) show.

Hi,

I'm Karanvir Singh , an electronic dance music producer from New Delhi and i needed to put together a team of completely "out-of-the-box" thinkers and innovators to work on and develop concepts and ideas for an upcoming show towards the end of this year. 

EDM or electronic dance music has always been working parallel to technology and technological advancements. For example creative LED lighting , 3d mapping , LED wrist bands , Smart Phone apps etc which enhance the entire live experience when you go and watch an artist playing

Globally this genre of music gathers about 200-300 thousand fans per night and everything from the sound to the aesthetics is over the top and extravagant . In india however , nobody is pushing the boundaries . The shows that happen over here are mediocre and really don't leave the audience with that "WOW" feeling . 

I am relatively unknown in the EDM scene right now and really want to change the way people experience a live performance here . Okay so that was a brief . Now this is what i had in mind :

We out together a team of 5-6 creative , out of the box , electrical engineers , and we sit together and brainstorm ideas for what we could develop for the shows that would happen towards the end of the year . It could be developing an LED wristband that is wirelessly synced to the music live , or it could be 3d projections on water vapour . Basically what I'm saying is that I don't have all the ideas in my mind . We need to sit and see what can and cant be done and what would be the best direction to go in . Everything is technology driven so essentially we would be working as a core team to develop never before seen technology that is going to be used live . And trust me , by the end of it, the benefits to all of you and me would be beyond satisfactory . 

ITS LITERALLY ABOUT REVOLUTIONIZING THE WAY LIVE PERFORMANCES IN INDIA ARE BEING EXPERIENCED AT THE MOMENT AND BEING THE FORERUNNERS IN USHERING IN CRAZY , CRAZY IDEAS FOR LIVE PERFORMANCES .

It is very easy to go to professionals and get an event like this conceptualized , but i really  want to work with you guys . I am hoping to put together a team at the earliest . 

Hopefully this a project that is slightly different from all the other projects you are doing , where all that you guys have learnt , coupled with creative thinking and wacko ideas , will ACTUALLY be applied to a real life concert where prospectively 500-1000 people would be experiencing technology that you have developed .

I hope you guys are as excited about this as I am and I really hope that this experience is fruitful to all of us.

I am Karanvir Singh . Im 21 years old and am a music producer from New Delhi , India . I have been a musician all my life , a drummer for most part of it but got into music production about 3-4 years ago . Ive been working out of my studio in Gurgaon and have been lucky enough to be a part of many projects .  Just to give you guys a fair idea of what ive been upto .

I have been selected to produce the music for about 15 designers for WILLS FASHION WEEK 2013 and 2014 . 

I have produced original scores for various theatre acts within the city and done the music for an array of short films and documentaries .

One of my tracks has been signed to a Spanish record label for worldwide publishing and is currently being shopped online throughout the world.

I have produced many radio ads and jingles for production houses and theatre companies within the city

I am working from my studio and recording various artists and working on an array of remixes . 

There are a lot of other things that I've been upto but its not necessary to be mentioned . Just wanted to let you know that im not wanting to waste your time and i am in this because i know that there is a huge potential.
