Prakash and I had been to Decathlon again today. Here's something I
think you would find interesting:
1) The basic sport jersey is now available for INR 400/- each *if you
buy three*. Any three.
<http://www.decathlon.in/Cycling-T-Shirts-SPORT-BASIC-CYCLING-JERSEY>
2) The RockRider 6.3 is now Rs. 17K/-. BikeRadar went apes over this
bike when it was reviewed:

There are only a few left!
Which raises the question: Should I?
Also, road bike spares (tubes, tires, etc.) are expected by next week!

A cheap one with most functionality and satisfied users (Poovaiah and
Prakash) is the FOMAS Bicycle computer.
It retails for usually 350 (but possibly can be had for 300). You can
get it at Bicycle Shoppe, Rajajinagar or in BVK Iyengar at Shah
bicycles.
Watch out for unjustified price markups though.

P.S.: The FOMAS model is *exactly* the DealExtreme model.

Nope it doesn't :D

FWIW, I believe you shouldn't be buying the cheapest available (though
for a first cyclo comp, it's okay), buy one that is reliable and will
last you long.
My Cateye Micro (Wireless) cost me around $30, but it's made in Japan,
has an excellent company behind it (which even has FAQs!), and from
what I've heard has unbeatable customer service.
My Sigma cost me around 1K, but I wouldn't recommend it since it has a
resolution of 0.5K only, but it too, has good build quality. I bought
it because it was the cheapest quality computer with cadence.
Functionality wise, both my comps support two wheel sizes (which
aren't supported by the FOMAS), but without additional sensors that's
pretty useless. My Sigma also has a chronograph which I haven't really
used. Cateye has a backlight too.

Backlight is a very good feature - i couldn't read mine at all after
dusk. Wireless comps may have interference problems. I haven't done
any testing per se, but i'd like to.

I would agree -- it is really good for that price (300/350).

I miss this on my Sigma :(

Yes. My Cateye does 120km while sitting in my desk at the Lab.
Something about CRTs.
Apart from that I've had no other interference.
Unfortunately, this is noted on the Cateye website :(
But given that wireless really makes sense for MTBs, I guess if there
is interference, I'm doing MTBing wrong :D

Too true! :D
Even so, i found that if the sensor wire is tied to the fork/handlebar
properly it wont snag anywhere...

I discovered this later.
BTW, Sheldon Brown has neat instructions for attaching a bicycle computer:
