This is highly unbecoming of the Indian Ambassador to China S
Jaishankar to have inaugurated the art exhibition.
If this had been a private affair ...a documentary by some nondescript
named Tejal Shah...it would not have mattered. But, to have the
Ambassador open the art fest does tantamount to stamping of official imprimatur
to the documentary in more ways than one!
It is incredible that an astute man like S Jaishankar who is known to
be highly professional in his dealings, did inaugurate the
exhibition...He surely should have known apriori!
Did he do this with the backing of the Govt of India? - probably!
One comment on these media channels - How come they side with China on
Human rights? - CHINA IS ONE OF THE WORST OFFENDERS of HUMAN RIGHTS
and FREEDOMS - TIBET is one of the MOST STRIKING examples of STATE
TYRANNY!
China, being a pragmatic nation, should be the last to point fingers
at violation of Human Rights! - POOR MEDIA JUDGEMENT!
The BJP has rightly asked for an explanation from the Ambassador - If
he is found to have inaugurated the exhibition in full cognisance of
the exhibition...he should be recalled!
To have the official representative of a country inaugurate an
exhibition which depicts the nation in poor light/ is indicative of an
AGITPROP against a particular POLITICAL SECTION of the NATION is
downright malicious and abominable!
