Fwd: message from Jotsaroop regd children of construction workers

Dear all

I had sent an email last month regarding convincing construction workers in
our department (maths), IISc to send their kids to school. Recently some
more workers have come to work at the construction site along with their
kids and at least two of them are of school going age. Joy and me talked to
them today related to sending them to school. They told us that the
contractor is not giving them enough work these days and hence the are not
getting enough money which might force them to find another place for work.
As they are not sure that they would stay at IISc, Bangalore, so sending
their kids to school may not be possible.

We think that other alternative is that  some Kannada speaking NBD
volunteers may teach those kids.
If someone is willing to teach the kids please mail me. you can also give
some other solution to this problem.
