Dear people, kindly have a look at the handout attached explaining freethought and the group's activities.
Hoping to see you all in the tomorrow's talk "Dr.Narendara nayak's experiences on debunking pseudosciences"
Synopsis of the talk:
Claimants of supernatural powers tend to convince others about them by
performing things which appear to be 'miraculous' defying all logic and
reason. These depend on principles of science and psychology etc. Some of
them will be performed and the principles behind will be explained. These
include slieghting of hand, fire, chemicals, mental suggestions, special
apparatus, bearing pain etc. Video footage relevant to the topic will be
showed and a q-a session will follow.
Venue: Choksi Hall
Time: 17th May, Tuesday, 4PM
(Tea will be provided at 3:30PM)
