Hi all,
Welcome to the group!

make sure you have not joined this group under a misunderstanding :)
I am Aditya Manthramurthy, a recently passed out M.E. student from the
CSA department. I live in Bangalore, so I visit the institute often :)
I think this group will be a great place for freethinkers in the IISc
community to share news items, discuss things that interest us, plan
freethought activities, etc, in a way un-hindered by pseudoscience,
superstition and religious dogma.
I am primarily interested in talking about spreading scientific temper
and learning, and the debunking of the tall claims of religious dogma.
Please introduce yourself and let us know what interested you in such
a group.
Some of us are planning an event to invite Prof Narendra Nayak to give
a talk/workshop on scientific temper/thinking at IISc. Please respond
and indicate interest in helping to organise this event.
Just so you know, this group also exists on FB at [2]. We will slowly
try to get a site of our own.

regular (or occasional) meetings would be certainly nice. anyways we should have one inaugural meet. I am presently out of station I will be in IISc in the 1st week of Jan. other than play time (7pm to 9pm) any other time is ok with me.
