Hi all

I m Murty, doing PhD at Centre for Neuroscience at IISc. I was interested in watching the venus crescent in inferior conjunction. I have an astronomical telescope (Newtonion) through which I have seen the rings of the Saturn in the past. I tried to view the planet from NBH roof top, but the western sky is not visible due to buildings. Could you suggest a suitable location in IISc from where I could see the event on Jan 11?? Also, do you know the exact timing of the event? Else, you could kindly suggest me some name in IISc who could guide me through. Also, I m very interested in joining anyone of you who is going to gaze at the night sky in the next two-three days.....

Waiting for your reply.. :-)

With regards Murty CNS

It's better to move out from the city to sky gaze ! The terrace of the new Physics building, gymkhana ground are some options but again it's best to choose a place outside the city ! e.g. Hessaraghatta !
