All:
During this latest off season, The IIRA Board has been working on improvements to our marketing efforts, the entry/tech processes for confirmation on license and race entry fees. Plus minor rules changes and options for members to purchase IIRA themed merchandise.
One of the efforts, with the help of the newly formed marketing committee, IIRA has launched an improved website.
The background reason for this improvement was to make the paricatants signing up on MotorSportsReg easier and to provide The IIRA board more information on our membership. And with that how we can improve our events and marketing.
The new website has a link that will go directly to MSR and to the IIRA licensing and events page. This means for the members it will be a matter of two clicks from your browser to MSR to create an account and sign up to participate.
MSR has all of the dates of our events at this time so to those that can, we are asking the members to sign up for the dates you would participate in. Locations will be added to the website, MSR and to the Facebook Group page when ice conditions improve.
Another new process has been put in place is to understand more clearly who is racing at a given event.
We will have at the entry to the event, a list of participants that have signed up and purchased for either Door to Door, Open Track and Ice Cross racing plus membership/license on MSR. While signing the waiver if you are not on that list you would be asked to show that you have signed up at the entry. If not we will provide that racer a quick way to sign up with a smartphone.
And we will as always accept cash or checks.
At the entry wristbands will be handed out to the participant to show to tech that they have been signed up and able to race. Tech will then also add to the windshield of the car that they have passed tech showing to the Chief Steward that the racer has done the steps necessary to enter the track and race.
Changes to our Open Track and Ice Cross racing rules have been made. Please refer to the website and check out those improvements.
The Marketing Committee also is adding to the website and at the events the opportunity for members to purchase IIRA themed merchandise. Stay tuned for this to be placed onto the website soon.
One other item to note is that the Door to Door racers with the FT 200 in car timing equipment will be asked to have that equipment up and working at tech so the new track and updates can be uploaded into the FT 200.
The IIRA board is looking forward to a safe and fun upcoming season.

On behalf of the IIRA Board
