		Dear Academic Initiative member, It's an exciting time to be sharing with your students that learning high demand mainframe skills can pave the way towards making the extraordinary possible. As the IBM mainframe turns 50, it is driving new approaches to cloud, analytics, security and mobile computing which can enable your students to tackle challenges never before thought possible. To help you inspire and challenge your students, we are kicking off a year-long celebration of the IBM Mainframe. The new IBM Mainframe50 Tumblr page is now live. Every day we will be releasing new content about how the mainframe is changing the world we live in. We encourage both you and your students to subscribe to this drumbeat of content, based on weekly themes, which will feature a range of industry, business and societal innovations. Additionally, please join us on April 7th for the new Master the Mainframe World Championship. This contest provides you with an interesting way to reinforce the skills your students need to launch their careers.
