3. Laurens De Bruijn (IIM-B alumnus)

Laurens is a Dutchman who has lived in London for the past ten years. In 2005 Laurens earned a masters degree in finance and investments from the Rotterdam School of Management, as part of which he spent a term at IIMB.

He has since worked as an entrepreneur and in the investment industry. For AllianceBernstein Institutional Investments he was in charge of the Benelux market and at Ludgate private equity he focused on VC/Growth investments and global fundraising.

Before moving to London Laurens set up a series of private cardiology outpatient clinics in the Netherlands, which focus on improving care and relieving the Dutch public healthcare system (Cardiology Centres Netherlands, CCN). With waiting times of less than 48 hours for NHS patients and pricing 25% below traditional hospitals, the Dutch minester of healthcare endorsed CCN as the 'go-to' place for NHS patients.

Laurens is now working with NHS England and NHS hospitals around London to bring this model to NHS England, where cardiology waiting times are eight weeks on average. With most of these patients ending up at A&E, Cardiology Centres Britain can cut the costs incurred by the NHS system manyfold.

4. Shweta Jhajharia (IIM-B alumnus)

Shweta Jhajharia is a serial entrepreneur, an author, an international business speaker and a leading global business coach.

She was with Unilever for 7 years before founding The London Coaching Group in 2008. She is a multi-award winner including “London Coach of the Year” consistently since 2009, 2 prestigious International Stevie awards, Millionaire Coach Award, British Franchise Association’s Judges Award and has been featured by more than 50 media outlets including BBC, FT adviser, City AM, Training Journal, Evening Standard and Management Today.

Shweta’s book SPARKS, Ideas to Ignite Your Business Growth, is due for launch on the 23rd May 2017.

She lives in London with her husband (who also studied at IIMB and is her business partner) and 11-year-old son. She enjoys mountain climbing (her last climb being Kilimanjaro), squash & traveling.

5. Rohini Rathour (IIM-B alumnus)

Rohini wants to help individuals and small businesses discover and fulfil their potential. In her capacity as business and life coach, she runs bespoke one-one coaching sessions, workshops and public speaking events.  She self-published her first book Leading Ladies in November 2016.

Previously she spent nearly two decades working as a fund manager and analyst for a wealth management firm in the City of London and at the time of her leaving was responsible for the investment performance of £2 billion of clients' money. She was good at spotting turnaround situations and undervalued companies.  Her investment approach was proactive and patient, and often involved constructive engagement with the management of the companies she invested in.

She is a huge believer in the power of storytelling as a means to solving many of life's problems. She is also a part-time hoop-fitness instructor and founder of UK charity Raindrop Campaign which helps children in impoverished communities in India get an education so they may break the circle of poverty.

She grew up in India where she graduated from St Xavier's College, Bombay with a BSc. in Statistics and later from IIM-Bangalore in 1991.

We look forward to meeting all and having an engaging discussion this Saturday. Please do reach out to the contacts below if you have any queries regarding the event.
