Press Restrictions: What's your strategy?

The governments of Georgia, Pakistan and Somalia are among those that have shut down independent media in recent weeks, silencing opposing views in the name of national emergencies. Among other things, officials in those countries have taken TV and radio stations off the air and limited the movement of journalists.

Do you experience similar restrictions in your own country? If so, how do you deal with it? Are there any ways to safely bypass state restrictions and report the news?

IJNet would like to hear your opinion. We invite you to answer these questions or add some of your own. Participate! Or create a discussion of your own!
