Dear Alumnus,
While the Golden Jubilee is a moment for us to rejoice and celebrate the IIM Calcutta spirit, it is also an occasion for us to give back to society in any way we can.
Hence as a part of the 50 Hour Footer Marathon we are organizing a fund raising campaign The proceeds will be donated partly to Pehla Kadam, a children’s charity and partly to Gurukul, a school run by one of our PGP2 students.
“Pehla Kadam” is an effort by Community Human Welfare Organization (an NGO) and IIM Calcutta Students, where underprivileged children from Joka and nearby regions are treated with a day of fun and entertainment through various interactions and cultural performances. Gurukul on the other hand was started as a degree college offering Bachelor of Arts in Raebareli and has gradually expanded to a primary and secondary school. It currently has a student strength of 450.
Your generous contributions towards this noble cause will be much appreciated. Should you wish to make a contribution, you can do so by making a transfer to the IIM Calcutta Student Welfare Association between 12th and 15th August 2011. The details of which are as follows:
