VARSA - a new initiative in the space of Decision Science

Dear Friends

Pray that you are all doing great.  

Having to have drifted from core engineering, I was wandering as to what is that I should do so that I can brand myself to be a professional (like an Architect, Doctor, Auditor, Lawyer, etc.) My 20+ years of association with IT did not allow me to carve a profession for self. From a Junior Consultant to  Vice President, the journey was indeed a high octane race laced with change in job description, roles and responsibilities. 

While I was progressing to appreciate what Decision Science is all about, I could realize that there is immense potential to progress in career as individuals rather than mapping with corporate guidelines, KRA’s, SLA’s, etc. and continue the race. A Data Scientist could conduct an independent professional stream. Decision Science is an amazing domain to embrace the best of Management, Technology with the powerful ingredient of one’s logical abilities where the recognition is immediate and self-patented. An exit from the world of Ctrl C – Ctrl V, and an opportunity to Brand our Brain Power.

The ambition is to create a platform for like-minded professional friends where one can engage for a collaborative progress. Where, one can have the freedom to decide on all aspects of profession. Where there will neither be an appraisal mechanism nor HR.

VARSA – a new initiative in the space of Decision Science is all set to sail. VARSA is a platform that is designed to engage like-minded professional friends in the space of Decision Science. The initiative focuses on establishing an Academy followed by the next LoB that would focus on projects (solutions/consulting).

The program will be accredited and certified by Analytics Society of India. The program is to be offered in Chennai followed by Bangalore. Many thanks to Prof. Dinesh Kumar to have agreed to extend his support as Chief Mentor in the midst of his otherwise hectic schedule. Many thanks to all those who had been there to advise and clarify on aspects of planning.
