Wiki skin

Hi all,

I have changed the skin of our wiki.If anyone faces any kind of problem with it, i will rollback the change.And in such case i will extremly sorry for the inconvenience.
By the way login link is at the bottom of the page.

Hello there,

 

  As said in the announcements of http://www.iiitmk.ac.in/wiki/index.php/Main_Page, each user can change their theme if they require by selecting a skin from the preferences right?

 

Can we make the default skin (Monobook) as the default skin of http://www.iiitmk.ac.in/wiki/index.php/Main_Page and leave the user to select a skin according to their preferences? Please correct me if I am wrong.

 

I am suggesting this because, our wiki is coming on the google search for many topics in the first page. So the default look is more user friendly. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi asha....

This make sense...

My be we can leave this customization to the user who is browsing ..( not the default one. )

Our wiki is the service which is getting lots hits during a day among all the services we have.

So i think better not to change it to a new fancy look.

The old style is the standard template and used by (Most of the wikipedia knowledge base) All most all the wiki's.

After changing the template, wiki lost the official look i think.(this is my feeling)

Asha, my be we can wait for some more responses from the users and then finally we can put it back.

I request all the users to post their opinions on this...
