regarding ldap

As part of our web tech project we have to design an ERP.

In the design of ERP , our part is building institutes directory services(batch-1).

As suggested by Rene , i am trying to implement an LDAP Based authentication system for directory services.

But still i am not getting how it can be done.

A small part of ldap was seems to be working (only directory services).

I was able to  use the ldap as directory search server only ..

(need to read more and needs more understanding about how ldap works ).

Here i did some of the ldap stuff and installed in 192.168.0.30 machine.

you can access this machine and browse as anonymous.

http://192.168.0.30/phpldapadmin

login as "anonymous"

Please go through the documentation and check if this ldap meets our requirements or not .

Or else we will continue with database design and schema's from scratch.

As per some discussion with our class mates this ldap may not reach our whole requirments ( can give only limited functionality).

we can discuss tomorrow ( 3rd September ) about whether to proceed with ldap or to give up ldap.
