My compliments to the IIIF team and Leeds University for running such an engaging, productive, and enjoyable conference. For those who attended our Glycerine Institutional Integration presentation, we undertook to follow through with more detail on our infrastructure integration strategy.
We have, over the last year, built out the Glycerine suite as a modular framework for institutional implementation.
- Glycerine Server provides the back-end data model and APIs for integration into existing digital asset and collections management infrastructure.
- Glycerine Editor can be embedded in the organisation's collections or content management system to enable curators and external contributors to create and edit annotations from existing workflows.
- Glycerine Viewer (or any IIIF viewer) can be themed and embedded in the content management system.
Our site provides an overview of each of the modules in the suite, and we’ve outlined a number of optional implementation patterns we have already explored, at Glycerine - Infrastructure Integration.
