Hi everyone,

I'm the main creator of https://micr.io/ -- a tiled image platform with support for custom markers, tours, and audio. All images are hosted by the platform (stored in Google CDN) and there is a comprehensive dashboard to upload and enrich your images.

Already since the start in 2015, there was a request for IIIF support. Due to being busy (this platform started as a side/hobby project) it took a while, but since yesterday, finally there is IIIF Image API support-- both by the JS client, as for the Micrio-server. I'm still looking further into the IIIF annotations standards. But perhaps you would like to take a look.

The IIIF details-page is https://micr.io/iiif

Server techstack is autoscaled C#/dotnet core with Postgresql DB, both managed by Google Cloud, and dedicated autoscaling Kubernetes linux image tilers for tiling new uploads (out of the box-uploads up to 120k x 120k are supported). Client techstack is pure JS, with a custom <micr-io> HTML-element that uses ShadowRoot and WebWorkers if available. Images are stored in Google Storage with a CDN in front, including static published JSON data, so international delivery is very fast. All is built for high performance.

The codebase is proprietary as of now, but we're looking to making the JS client open source. Though that won't be very short-term.

Also check the main website (https://micr.io) for some example projects that it already has been used for.

I hope you like it. If you have any questions please let me know.

Best,

Marcel Duin
