Call for Project Submissions

Do you manage or design a IIIF interface that shares or displays IIIF resources? Do you have questions about how you can improve the design for your audiences?

We’d like to help.

The IIIF Design Community Group will host a discussion at the 2022 working meeting in December with design practitioners who have experience in information architecture, usability, user experience, interaction design, and human-centered design who can answer your questions!

This 90 minute session will give panel participants and attendees the opportunity to think and share ideas about how interface design can affect user experience, and how the IIIF community can work toward more consistent user experiences across different IIIF-enabled platforms.

How you’ll contribute:

  • A total of three project owners will be selected to give a 10-minute presentation that includes an overview of your project and a description of the questions or challenges you’d like the design practitioners to help with.

  • Discuss the three projects and design questions with three design practitioners and other session attendees.

All you need to do is submit your project proposal by November 14, 2022 by responding directly to this email.

Include in your submission:

  1. The name of your project

  2. A description of your project (100 words max)

  3. A link to your project if live, or screenshots if not

  4. A statement of your interest in participating in this discussion (100 words max)
