Position Details:
This position serves as a “bridge role” between IT and Library service providers. On a given day the incumbent may be watching Teams chats to proactively identify developing issues in our locally-developed digital collections infrastructure, consulting on the implementation of Gallery Systems’ TMS, collaborating with a vendor to troubleshoot a problem in an Airtable-based workflow management system, or scanning logs in AWS Cloudwatch to troubleshoot a code deployment.
The service consultant is a service owner and primary IT support person for platforms including Aviary, Goobi, and our locally-developed Digital Collections System. The role supports and implements strategy and priorities set by product owners outside of the IT department, developing familiarity with both IT and core Library operations.
Yale Library is committed to developing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of its staff. Applicants are encouraged to think broadly about their skills and explain how they may relate to this position.
