Hello IIIF Community,

Save the date for our April Community Call: Using IIIF, Gemini 3, and AI Drafts for Transcription in FromThePage.

On April 8 at 12pm ET / 16:00 UTC, we'll welcome Sara and Ben Brumfield to show off how FromThePage is:

• Sending IIIF images to large language models
• Showing AI draft transcripts, provenance & reasoning in the user interface
• Exposing AI generated and human transcriptions in human readable web annotations
• Sharing Machine Readable SeeAlso blocks in IIIF manifests
• Including Provenance Data like engines, models and prompts in both the UI and the IIIF API

Will you be recording the community call? This sound like a fascinating discussion, but I will be celebrating Passover and be offline. I’ve seen a few presentations from Sara and Ben and they are great — but I particularly like the focus of this webinar, since I’m working right now on transcription inside a IIIF viewer.
