HTTP header to track carbon emissions

I recently came across a proposal for an HTTP header[1] to track carbon emissions (source[2]), which reminded me of an old thread[3] on this list. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the ISO spec 14064-1:2006[4], so I am not certain about its contents.
However, I am curious if IIIF image servers could potentially expose this metric.

Has someone investigated further the sustainability of IIIF applications?
