With our latest release (7.2.5) LUNA supports the IIIF Presentation API

Search results and groups are delivered as IIIF Presentation API Collections and individual images and books are delivered as IIIF Presentation API Manifests

Content in LUNA collections can be easily explored in the expanding arena of IIIF Viewers.

This means any image or BookReader object in LUNA can be shared individually or as part of a group of other content. These groups and searches are dynamic so if content is added or removed in the LUNA instance the URL still pulls the appropriate content.

Many more to come as clients upgrade to LUNA 7.2.5+

Dear Drake-

Congratulations, this is big news.  And thanks for messaging the IIIF Community about this.

I’d encourage you, or someone from your team, to join in on one of our future biweekly IIIF community calls to talk about and demo this important work.

You can find the schedule for community calls at:  http://iiif.io/community/groups/

The next one is next Wednesday 11/9 at 9am PST (https://bluejeans.com/639555055

Cheers, and best,

Stu

Hi Stu,

I will defiantly join the call on the 9th. I'm more than happy to do a demo as well. We look forward to participating in the community more as we continue our work with IIIF.

Talk to you all soon,

Drake,

Congratulations on the latest release, and thanks for including IIIF support. I think you may be the first to include a way to sharing IIIF collections via a UI & saved search—something that seems like it will be increasingly important as core part of interoperable discovery.

I also really like the way you’ve incorporated IIIF URIs in the “share” function:

Have you also thought about possible including the IIIF icon to enable drag and drop?

Looking forward to your demo on the next community call,

- Tom
