Bibliographic reference for IIIF

Hello everyone,

Whenever I write about IIIF, and want to include a bibliographic reference for IIIF, do you have a recommendation on which reference to use?

Usually, I would refer to the specifications, but in the case of IIIF, we have three specifications at this time...

Maybe there is a suitable publication in a journal or conference that I could refer to?

What do you talk about in the publication that needs the citation? If you talk about the APIs, you could just cite Image and Presentation?

If you talk more about IIIF in general, you could just cite the website?

There have been some conference papers with proceedings in the past (including best paper at JCDL) but they're about specific features or topics, rather than a general description of the community's work.

Thanks a lot for the advice.

All your suggestions make sense, and now I can cite the write one depending on the context of what I'm writing for/about. I suspect I'll be writing a lot about IIIF in the future :)
