Sunderban Tiger Camp - Two Nights & Three Days
Dates January 7+8+9, or January 14+15+16, 2011

1st Day, Friday (Post Lunch)

2.30 PM: Departure from Gariahat Golpark / Science City in South
Kolkata via Luxury Bus.
(Bottled drinking water provided during the journey
through rustic Bengal)

5.00 PM: Arrival at Gothkhali
(Here the road journey ends and the cruise to
beautiful Sunderban begins…).

*5.30 PM: Departure by Motorboat for Dayapur. Tea/Coffee + Snacks
on Boat

7.15 PM: Arrival at Sunderban Tiger Camp, Dayapur
(Located opposite the Sunderban Tiger Reserve Forest
across river Pitchkhali).

8.15 PM: IIID Council meeting procedures

2nd Day, Saturday

6: 30 AM: Morning Tea.

*8.00 AM: A thrilling Boat Cruise inside creeks of Sunderban
(breakfast on boat during cruise).
Visit Dobanke Watch Tower with canopy walk inside the
forest
Visit the Spotted Deer Rehabilitation Centre.
Reach Matla-Bay of Bengal point – cruise back along
the 5-river junction.

1:00 PM: Lunch.

4.00 PM: “Rendezvous with the Rural Bengal.” Promenade around the
Neighbouring villages to
interact with the Local Community to understand
local Art, Culture and Way of Life
(how man and tiger coexist in such a difficult
terrain).

6:00 PM: Tea/Coffee with Snacks. Enjoy a Panoramic Sunset from
Watch Tower.

7.00PM: Evening get-together with Music/ Dance.
Wild Life Movie and Bonfire.

9:00 PM: Dinner.



3rd Day, Sunday

6.30 AM: Morning Tea.

*7.00 AM: Morning cruise, breakfast on boat.
Visit Sajnekhali Tiger Project, Museum/
Interpretation Centre & Watch Tower.
Visit Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower and Cruise through
Rivers and Narrow Creeks of
Pitchkhali-Sarakhkhali-Sudhanokhali- Bonobibi
Dharani (narrow creek).

11.30 AM: Return to Sunderban Tiger Camp for Lunch.

*12.30 PM: Departure for Gothkhali by Boat.

*3.00 PM: Arrival at Gothkhali.

3.30 PM: Departure for Kolkata. Tea/ Coffee with Snacks served on
bus.

6.00 PM: Arrival at Kolkata. Guests leave for their respective
destinations.
