IIA   PUBLICATION  BOARD INVITES ARTICLES /PROJECTS  FOR PUBLICATION IN THE JOURNAL OF INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS



                                         INSTRUCTIONS TO THE AUTHORS FOR JIIA


 

All intending authors for JIIA are advised to follow the instructions given below, while submitting their articles/projects for publication to the JIIA

1. All articles/projects for publication shall be computer ready for publication.
2. Every research article shall have an abstract of the paper in not more than 100 words (one paragraph). 
3. Research papers must have a brief bibliography in standard format.
4. The research paper must also give conclusions or recommendations.
5. All sketches shall be neatly drawn on AutoCAD with proper labels and titles. No scanned sketch shall be accepted.
6. All the photographs shall be digital photographs with minimum 600x1248 size and shall be with proper  captions.
7. Maximum length of the paper shall be 2000 words/ 5 A-4 size pages with 12 font size.
8. The projects sent for publication must include the name of project, its location, brief of the owners, different consultants and construction agencies involved in the project, built-up   area, year of start and completion, scope of work of the architects etc. The project must also include few important drawings such as master plan, floor plans and important sections along with photographs. Any innovations applied must be highlighted through drawings and photographs. The project shall also have a brief writ up about the project, design parameters/philosophy etc.
9. Only completed projects shall be published other than students projects.
10. Good works done by students, duly forwarded by the Head of the Department can be considered for publication.
11. Author/s shall give a certificate that the paper/ project is being sent for the first time for publication in JIIA, it is original work of the author/s and it reflects author/s own work/views. No part of the paper/article has been copied / borrowed from any book without being acknowledged.
12. The paper/article shall be submitted on TWO CDs along with a hard copy.
13. Details of the author/s such as qualifications, year of passing, college, place of work- in service/independent practice, Designation, email, postal address and telephone number etc. must be given along with the photographs in resolution as mentioned in sn 6 above.
14. Any article having personal comments/controversial issues shall not be published in the JIIA.
15. Authors are advised to send the articles at their own risk. Editorial Board of JIIA shall not be responsible for any loss in transit.
16. Unpublished articles shall not be returned unless accompanied by sufficient postage stamps.
17. Editorial Board of JIIA gives preference to the works of members of IIA and reserves right to edit, publish or not to publish any article without assigning any reason to the same.
