Dear Slow Foodies - Happy Mother's Day to all moms!  Shooting Star
CSA in Fairfield will host its first farm open house of the season on
May 15th.  More info below.  Scott

Shooting Star CSA Open House & Strawberry Shortcake Fest
Saturday, May 15th, 2-5 pm

Come see where your food is grown!  Meet the farmers and take a walk
through the fields.  We'll have lots of cold drinks and plenty of
shade!

Strawberry shortcake $2.00

Farm tours, face painting and kids area!

No dogs please.

Directions: The farm is located at 5082 Gordon Valley Rd in
Fairfield.  Take 80 east to Fairfield, exit at Abernathy Rd, go north
(left) over the freeway, and continue for awhile.  At the 2nd
three-way stop, go right onto Gordon Valley Rd.  We're a half-mile up
on the right.

We have dropsites located in Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, Walnut
Creek, Fairfield, and Vacaville.  We also have two new dropsites
pending: Lafayette and Benecia.  We need a minimum of 10 full season
members for these sites.  Please help us spread the word!
