You are more than welcome Clint. Glad to help any way possible.  Ad for next Wednesday evening,  you will get some excellent feedback and participation from Walt.  Like Walt said, due to my schedule, it’s unlikely I’ll be able to join this time around, but would like to participate the next time.  Thanks again, -alex

Fantastic! It's a completely open discussion about your perspective on the skills needed for your new hires - what deficiencies/strengths do your new hires possess that we can influence? Soft skills/tech skills/etc...

Continued success in all you do,

I cannot speak for Alex's schedule, it is probably more crazy that mine so he will have to answer for himself. I don't know what I could say or offer to the students but I would like to attend my schedule permitting. Let me know what you would like me to talk on and I will try to put something together... as for the tour the offer stands whenever you can get it arranged, just give me as much advance notice as you can..

Hi Alex and Walt,

On behalf of my school, thank you again for your company’s generosity! Based upon the current bussing issues our district is facing, it is unlikely that we will be able to take you up on your tour this school year, but would very much like to make plans for September or October if possible.

In addition, I am the coordinator for the Information Technology Academy at my school. We are a California Partnership Academy, similar to vocational programs like wood shop and electronics, but for 21st century skills. Our main purpose is to serve underrepresented populations who do not necessarily see themselves going to college and earning a degree, populations who are also not represented in Silicon Valley employees. We find ways to incorporate technology in every discipline, engage their creativity and problem solving skills with project-based learning opportunities, start them working on soft skills early, discuss ICT careers, go on field trips to companies and colleges, and participate in various high school competitions. We are forming an advisory board of businesses, post-secondary educational institutions, and educational non-profits to discuss current market sector needs so that we can enhance the validity and relevant-ness of our program.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 9th from 5-8pm at DeVry University in Fremont. Would either of you be interested/able to attend?

Continued success in all you do,

Clint Johns
