Hi amigas,
I got this email today from the coordinator of Blakely Hall. There is
some play dough on the carpet... I am going to have to go later today
and see what I can do to clean the carpet.

And we are going to have to get a plastic cover for the carpet in
order to keep using the play dough or should we stop using play dough?
What do you guys think?
Alicia

Good Morning!

We found red play dough ground into the carpet of the conference room
yesterday (far end of conference room in front of closet doors).
Please cover the carpet if you use play dough in the future.

Hopefully it will come out, if not we may have to discuss a deduction
from your security deposit.

That really sucks!!!!

The kids really enjoy playing with the play dough every Thursday.

Alicia, I knowthe big parachutedoes not belong to the group. Butdo we have money to buyone of the same size? If so, let's buy one. And that way,we can place the parachute under the tables to cover the carpet from play dough and craft projects.

Also as moms/caregivers (I am guilty of that), sometimes we get to confortable and we let the kids to play by themself. Let's try to assist them a little bit more so that we don't have to pay for any damage done to the carpet or the room.

What do you think? We can also try to raise more money so that we can continue to use the room!

My first thought was it will be too hard to control so let's get rid of it to avoid having another problem, but after reading Mimy's message I thought, well, maybe we can all work together to make this possible..I do agree that it would be sad to get rid of the play dough since it seems that all the kids love that little crafty part of our day...I think having a plastic underneath is a great idea and i think that maybe we can all have an extra pair of eyes on the kids and the  pieces of dough that might fall on the floor to be on top of it...I am very happy with the super team work that we are all doing and I think that adding one extra task is not too much, specially when it is something that will help us keep our awesome spot at the hall..
this is just my opinion, please moms let us know what you think so we can make a decision for our next get together..

thanks a lot!

Hi everyone! I agree that a plastic tarp would be nice to put under the tables for play dough and craft time. I was also thinking it might be a good idea to get some cheap table cloths so we don't have to worry about markers, crayons, etc getting on their tables. I would be happy to go get some if everyone agrees.

Thank you, Lara. I already got a plastic table cover to use under the
art table, but if you can get the ones for the tables would be great.
See you on Thursday!
