Hello IHE!
See below for a message from our friends at the Immunization Integration Program on a new survey they just released which I’m sure members of our community will be interested in. Submissions are due August 31st!
The Immunization Integration Program (IIP) is soliciting topic suggestions for its 2021-2022 project year through the IIP Collaborative issue intake survey. This project year begins on August 1, 2021 and ends on July 31, 2022, and we welcome your submissions through August 31, 2021. A ‘suggested topic’ should include challenges or barriers to immunization interoperability involving several groups across the health and care ecosystem (e.g., EHRs, IIS, HIEs, clinicians, etc.) that can be improved through collaborative work.
The IIP brings together IIS, EHRs, health information exchanges (HIEs), clinicians, and other key partners as well as state, federal, and local public health agencies to improve interoperability, information sharing and management. Driven by HIMSS and the American Immunization Registry Association (AIRA), the IIP works to increase the quality and usage of immunization data through cross-sector collaboration, measurement, and technical support to improve IIS and EHR interoperability.
On behalf of the IIP Executive Committee, we thank you for participating in the survey and look forward to improving immunization interoperability together!
Best,
