[ACTION REQUIRED] Call for Proposals HIMSS14 Edu Sessions open - Accepting Volunteers Respond by May 16

Greetings Everyone,

HIMSS has officially opened the Call for Proposals for the Educational Sessions during HIMSS14.  To volunteer for the Education Session Work Group,  and develop new IHE Sessions at HIMSS14, please fill out and complete the following Doodle by March 16^th, indicating your preferred availability for a conference call during the week of May 20^th. 

 

KEY DATES

·         May 16th – Final day to register via Doodle as a Work Group Volunteer

·         June 3rd– Final day to submit proposal to HIMSS

 

Why are Proposals and Educational Sessions important to IHE?

Ø  RECRUIT NEW MEMBERS!! – Recruit volunteers to  participate in the IHE Profile Development process. HIMSS Annual Conferences averages over 37,000 attendees and an additional 800 health IT professionals who attend virtually.

Ø  PROMOTE IHE -  Establish IHE’s role in promoting standards and interoperability in the US, this venue provides the perfect opportunity to promote IHE education and awareness.

Ø  FREE HIMSS14 ADMISSION!! – The primary speaker/author of the proposal will receive complimentary HIMSS14 admission.

 

VOLUNTEER COMMITTMENT

Join the IHE Educational Work Group: DEADLINE TO VOLUNTEER IS MAY 16^th 

1.      Complete the Doodle by May 16^th and indicate your preferred availability for a 60 minute conference call. When indicating your preferred availability, please ensure you are indicating availability in the CST time zone. To adjust time zone, please click on the blue link directly above the Wednesday May 22 date. The link will be located on the right-hand side.

2.      Attend 1-2 Educational Workgroup calls to develop IHE Educational Content and write the final proposal.

3.      Proposal editors will submit the formal IHE Educational Programming Proposals directly to HIMSS before the close of the HIMSS14 Call for Proposals on June 3^rd 2014

Note: HIMSS will give preference to proposals that demonstrate the adoption and optimal use of healthcare information technology and management systems, so IHE is the perfect candidate.
