The MESA tools ae retired. 

Which tools does the Committee recommends using instead?

Hello Nicolas,

Yes, the MESA tools have been retired since 2019.

Depending on the IHE profile and actor that you want to test, IHE has simulators and validator that cover some of the features that the MESA tool had.

• The Gazelle OrderManager tool has a DICOM MWL SCP simulator and can simulate HL7 v2.3.1 and 2.5.1 order messages for the SWF/SWF.b Order Placer, Order Filler and Image Manager
• The Gazelle PatientManager tool can simulate ADT messages for SWF HL7 2.3.1 (but not 2.5.1)
• There was a set of DICOM images of various modalities distributed as part of the MESA tools that is still available.
• There was a set of DICOM images & test plan specifically for testing the Image Display actor in the Mammography Image profile that were distributed with the MESA tools that are  still available.

If you are registered for an IHE Connectathon, during the Preparatory phase, you are given a set of tests and tools based on the actors you have registered to test.   Those test plans would give you specific instructions for using the available tools.
