(May 1, 2023)
Greetings,
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) released a “new and improved” medical device terminology system and service today known as the Rosetta Terminology Mapping Management System (RTMMS). The new version of RTMMS (https://rtmms.nist.gov/) builds upon the prior on-line NIST system and provides significant improvements including the interface, performance, and search, filtering, and download capabilities.
Please note the RTMMS requires all users to log into this new freely available site (even if one had an account on the prior version of the RTMMS).
To get started, please see the attached for more details on the new RTMMS and instructions on how to get registered as a user.
Please direct any questions or comments regarding the new RTMMS to Michael Faughn (michael...@nist.gov) or John Garguilo (john.g...@nist.gov).
NIST appreciates any feedback and looks forward to working with users and standards development organizations to together advance and development medical device nomenclature and ultimately device interoperability.
All the best,
--John G.

Greetings again all,
Please see the attached for updated instruction documentation regarding the new RTMMS account registration process.
The attached (May 2, 2023) provides a detailed step-by-step process of registering and thus replaces what I sent yesterday (May 1, 2023).
Again, feel free to email Michael Faughn or me regarding any questions, help, and suggestions/feedback.
Regards,
