I am working with a partner on implementing a medications entry, and there is a need to capture the CreatedDate.  This is typically a timestamp generated by the source system, but could also be generated by another downstream system as a LastModifiedDate.  The PCC TF rev 7 seems to be silent on datetime fields outside of start/stop date for meds.  How should this type of information be represented in a Medications entry?

For reference I am looking at this section in the TF:

6.3.4.16 Medications 1.3.6.1.4.1.19376.1.5.3.1.4.7

It is the participation time of the author of the entry:

<substanceAdministration …>

  …

  <author>

    <time value=’…’/>

      …

  </author>

</substanceAdministration>

Thanks Keith!  As a follow on question to this how would I reference the author in the header, and only override the time value?  Or is that possible?

<author>

  <time …/>

 <assignedAuthor …>

    <id root=’same value as in header’ extension=’same value as in header’/>

    …

  </assignedAuthor>

</author>

But, according to PCC TF and C32, all authors must have name, telecom, and addr.

Arguably, the referenced author does, but it isn’t in the right place.
