to IHE North America Connectathon 2009

Before the IHE NA 2009 Connectathon becomes merely a pleasant memory, I would encourage you to consider if there are areas of the Technical Frameworks that need changes. These could be only to clarify some issue, or possibly you found something that make interoperability impossible. In either case, I would encourage you to submit Change Proposals to the various technical committees to improve the frameworks.

The wiki page that describes the CP process is described at http://wiki.ihe.net/index.php?title=Change_Proposal_Process

Each domain is on a slightly different time schedule.

ITI processes CPs every two weeks and has a face to face meeting scheduled May 4. You should submit now to give them a chance to go through the t-con process and be ready for ballot in mid-May. CPs not voted on by mid-May will not be integrated into final text.

PCC will be processing CPs at their face to face meeting in early May. I would submit your changes in March to make sure the co-chairs have adequate time to account for them in the May agenda.

Radiology meets in mid-May. I don’t know if CPs are on the formal agenda. You should submit your changes in March and contact the co-chairs to make sure they are on the agenda.

Patient Care Devices: I don’t have their meeting schedule. Please contact Manny Furst for details.

Lab: Their next scheduled meeting is mid-May in Kyoto. I don’t know if they process CPs by conference call. You should submit any CPs in March and contact the co-chairs.

Regards,

Steve Moore
