I would like to call your attention to a proxy system that is part of our future Gazelle software plans. For HL7 V2 systems, we will use a computer that will accept V2 messages, forward those messages
to the desired destination and index the messages for viewing and validation by Kudu.
You are not required to use this, but we would encourage you to do so. Receiver applications make no changes. For systems that initiate TCP connections, find the configuration column labeled "Port on Proxy". Send
your HL7 V2 messages to the proxy computer (not the participant computer) on the proxy port. The proxy will forward the message for you and deliver the ACK / response back to you.
Please refer to the wiki writeup. I think you will find the message capture and validation of interest.
This has been used as an optional system at European connectathons. We believe this will be part of the required infrastructure next year.
Looking forward to working with you on Monday.
Steve Moore
